A shocking accident took place in Vadodara, Gujarat. This accident has led to the death of one woman and has severely injured some. A 23-year-old named, Rakshit Ravish Chaurasia, was allegedly accused of driving recklessly. He appeared to be intoxicated. According to all the eyewitnesses and victims, the accused boy was driving over the speeding limit, for “enjoyment”. This horrendous Vadodara Car Crash incident has encouraged outrage among the citizens, leading to demands for strict actions against the accused, and arguing that the fees imposed for driving recklessly are not enough, compared to such irresponsible behavior.
The accident took place precisely on March 14, 2025, that is on the previous Friday. A car crashed into multiple vehicles, leading to the death of one woman and several were injured and wounded. The accident involved a collision of three vehicles- Two activa scooters and one electric vehicle (EV). According to reports, the severity of the accident was so intense that one of the vehicles was thrown into the air after the unfortunate collision. The eyewitnesses stated that Rakshit, showed no remorse after the incident took place.
Direct statements were recorded from the victims. One of them is Vikas Kewalani. He shared his horrifying experience. While he and his neighbors were out to get some refreshments, this accident took place. The speeding car rammed into their two-wheeler. Vikas’s siblings faced several fractures. Kewalani’s official statement goes like “I was awake when I fell. I saw that the car had hit another vehicle, and it flew into the air. My brother and sisters sustained fractures. I fractured my right elbow. The accused looked intoxicated. He was overspeeding for enjoyment. No one in their normal state could do and say such things.”
He further added that such reckless and irresponsible behavior doesn’t deserve only a “fine” but rather should be controlled with strict action, to ensure that offenders truly understand the gravity of their actions.
The Vadodara Police Commissioner, Narasimha Komar, confirmed that Rakshit Ravish Chaurasia is in police custody. However, the accused denied being intoxicated. He claimed that he was driving at a speed of 50 kmph, and got into an accident due to the potholes in the road. However, this statement given by the accused, directly contrasts with the statements given by the eyewitnesses and victims. As per statements, the accused of the Vadodara Car Crash shouted “Another round, another round” which makes the suspicions even more critical.
This Vadodara Car Crash has led to massive outrage and public outcry. Many state that imposing a general and mere “fine” is not enough, and some stricter action should be taken against the accused and such irresponsibility.
