Nikkhil Advani is set to helm a historical drama focusing on the lives of Indian freedom fighters Rash Behari Bose and Sachindra Nath Sanyal, with Rohit Saraf being a part of the project. The upcoming web series will highlight the significant contributions of these two revolutionaries to India’s independence movement.

According to a source close to the production, “Bhuvan Bam is portraying Bengali revolutionary Rash Behari Bose and has already started filming for the series. He has even shaved off his moustache to closely resemble the character.” The source further added, “Rohit Saraf will play the role of Sachindra Nath Sanyal, a close associate of Bose. Interestingly, he has grown a moustache for the part. Pratibha Ranta will be seen as Sanyal’s wife, whom he married during his childhood.”

The team is currently shooting in Madh Island, Mumbai, on a specially constructed set designed to replicate early 1900s Bengal. While the streaming platform for the series hasn’t been officially confirmed, it’s expected to debut on SonyLIV. Nikkhil Advani has previously delivered successful projects for the platform, such as Freedom at Midnight and Rocket Boys.
