Times Now reports that Mithun Chakraborty has revealed the origins of the conversations surrounding his portrayal of Osho Rajneesh. He recounted that a film editor had commented on how much he looked like the spiritual leader during a photo session for The Kashmir Files.
The actor then said that the comparison caught him off guard and that he had been approached for the role. But he explained that nothing was decided yet because it would take about five to six years to finish the movie.
Chakraborty admitted that another person had also approached him for the role. And that director Vivek Agnihotri was eager for him to portray it. As he considered the offer, he emphasized the seriousness of the responsibility. And highlighted that Osho’s admirers still view him as a hero.
Although many have noted their physical similarity, he acknowledged that portraying such a powerful figure would not be simple. And conveyed his profound respect for the spiritual leader.
Mithun Chakraborty ruled out any future aspirations to play love parts aside from this potential movie. He claimed that since he has matured, he now favors characters that are appropriate for his experience and age. He highlighted his change in acting style by referring to himself as a “film master” as opposed to a conventional hero.
